  18.     I need some info on a Toaster upgrade....

  20.     I do some volunteer work in a mini-studio at my church. They have a A2500
  21. with a Toaster v1.0 and 1.0 software. I've been trying to work up to a later
  22. version and started with the OS. Got a multi-start-II and a 2.04 chip, a Super
  23. Denise, the new 2630 roms, 2091 roms and Workbench 2.1. The 1.0 software would
  24. not install or run on the 2.1 system. By elimination I found I could run under
  25. the 2.04 rom if I pulled out the super denise and booted from a 1.3 hard drive.
  26.     I then got a great deal on a Toaster 3.0/3.1 software upgrade package.
  27. While trying to install it it gives a "out of memory" error on disk 25 of 29. W
  28. e 
  29. have 7 megs on board. I bought a Supra ram card to bring us up to 9 megs and it
  30. still says "out of memory" on disk #25. If it is really a memory problem I woul
  31. d
  32. think it would make it a little further and the 2 meg upgrade. 
  33.     Does anyone know what is happening? What are the minimum requirements to
  34. run Toaster v3.0? I found NewTek's FTP site and tried the listed email address
  35. (for FTP problems) but didn't get a reply. I can't spend a whole lot of long
  36. distance to them if I can avoid it.
